Sweet Potato Chips

sweet potato chipsOne day I was experimenting in the kitchen, trying to come up with a new snack for our little one.  I was pleasantly surprised at how well these chips turned out.  They are so delicious that they are almost addicting.  I was never a big fan of sweet potatoes, until I tasted these simple little chips.  Although they soften in your mouth, we still break them into small pieces for our little guy.

2 small sweet potatoes

Sea salt

What to do:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Wash and peel sweet potatoes.

Use a vegetable peeler to slice the sweet potatoes very thinly.

Lay them close together on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.  (They will shrink in the oven.)

Sprinkle with sea salt.

Put them in the oven until they just start to turn brown, approximately 10-15 minutes.

Remove promptly and put into an airtight container while they are still warm.

They will turn crispy once they are cool.

Have you ever made your own chips?  I’d love to hear about it!  Share below…
